Technion, The Israel Institute of Technology has announced that it has founded country’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Institute for advancing tech solutions in medicine.
Technion said in a statement that, The Zimin Institute for AI solutions in Healthcare at the Technion, jointly inaugurated and operated with Russian charity Zimin Foundation, would concentrate on multidisciplinary research and tech development in human health and medicine using computational learning and big data.
Uri Sivan, President at Technion said that this new center is a significant component in this vision of collaboration and connection between engineering, science and medicine. He also added that it will encourage applied research which will speed up the development of new and essential technologies with real world applications.
