Completion of a £6.5 Million Medical Facility in Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire

By the end of the month, work on a new £6.5 million medical facility in Gloucestershire should be finished. The building is located on the same property as the Dransfield Properties-owned Five Valleys shopping center in the heart of Stroud.

Locking Hill Surgery and Stroud Valleys Family Practice, which have since merged to form Five Valleys Medical Practice, will move into the newly renovated space at Number One King Street, according to Dransfield.

The completely renovated building will include office space, a new library, and a first-floor physiotherapy and podiatry suite run by Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. The library is scheduled to open in 2023.

The two general practitioner practices, according to Dransfield, have outgrown their current buildings. The new facility will allow them to increase the number of services they offer, increase training opportunities, and assist patients who need specialized care.

“The new medical center will provide new and improved GP services for more than 15,000 patients and will link with our shopping center, Five Valleys, as well as having excellent local transport links,” managing director Mark Dransfield stated.
