7 ways to practice mindfulness

Mindful Breathing

Take a few moments to focus on your breath. Notice the sensation of each inhale and exhale. When your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath.

Mindful Eating

Pay full attention to the experience of eating. Notice the flavors, textures, and smells of your food. Chew slowly and savor each bite.

Walking Meditation

Take a slow, intentional walk, paying attention to each step you take. Notice the sensations in your feet and legs as they make contact with the ground.

Mindful Observation

Choose an object to focus on, such as a flower, a tree, or a piece of art. Spend a few minutes observing it closely, noticing its details and textures.

Mindful Listening

Take a moment to listen deeply to the sounds around you, whether it's the chirping of birds, the hum of traffic, or the rustling of leaves. Try to fully immerse yourself in the auditory experience.

Mindful Journaling

Set aside time each day to write about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Pay attention to the present moment as you put your thoughts onto paper.
