Pfizer To Provide COVID-19 Vaccines in Poor Nations at a Minimal Cost

On Wednesday, the prestigious pharmaceutical company ‘Pfizer’ stated that it would deliver nearly two dozen products, including its top-selling COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, at not-for-profit prices, in some of the world’s poorest countries.

At the World Economic Forum’s annual gathering in Davos, Switzerland, Pfizer announced that the initiative is aimed towards improving health equity in 45 lower-income countries. Mainly these countries include Haiti, Syria, Cambodia, North Korea, and several countries in Africa.

As this initiative is not for profit purpose, Pfizer will charge only manufacturing costs and minimal distribution expenses. Apart from that, the drugmaker company also plans to provide help with public education, training for health care providers and drug supply management.
