The Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund (SJIF) and Jordan Investment Fund (JIF) signed an investment and development agreement to develop a project worth USD 400 million in the healthcare and medical education sectors.
This significant healthcare project will consist of a university hospital with 300 beds, more than 60 outpatient clinics, an ambulant care building, and a medical school with a total capacity for 600 students. With this project, creation of 5,000 employment opportunities is expected.
Omar Alwir, SJIF CEO, revealed that project seeks to bring world-wide knowledge and proficiency into Jordan and also contribute to enhancing the health sector in the country. He further said that this project will expand the model of accountable care, deliver high-quality healthcare services, and promote medical tourism and enhance Jordan’s position in this field.
